Presenting the 1851-O $2.50 Liberty Head gold coin, graded MS62 by PCGS. This uncirculated coin hails from the New Orleans Mint and is part of a limited mintage of 148,000 pieces. However, it remains a rare find, with only an estimated 200-250 pieces believed to exist in total, and even fewer in Mint State condition. The coin features vivid yellow-gold mint frost across both sides, with a notable repunched date visible beneath the last two digits. While the centers show some softness in strike, particularly on the reverse, this coin is a remarkable example of its category.
