Bohemian Goblet, German Wine Glass, Large Goblet with Horses Fighting

Description

11 3/4" Tall by 5 1/2" Wide blown cobalt over clear colorless glass, Cobalt over clear bowl consists of 2 deep oval cut panels one with 7 cut concentric circles the other a pair of deep engraved horses fighting within their cut surroundings, each side is detailed with beautiful fleur-de-lis designs, the tapered base of the bowl has 8 oblong cuts, the applied stem has 2 ribs heavily cut and faceted, the lower facets flare to a base with 8 perturbing feet with alternating circle and star cuts underneath the cobalt overlay, a very impressive piece, circa 1830's
