When he was twenty years old in 1879, he left for Rome to continue his training, where he met Mariano Fortuny at the Chigi Academy, where they both cultivated a great friendship.Consecration as an artist:In Rome he did not take long to succeed as an artist in such a way that he came to carry out commissions for Pope Leo XIII. Later, in 1895, he decided to take up residence in Paris, the true artistic capital of Europe. There, in addition to continuing his successful career, his studio served as a meeting point for many young Spanish artists who came to the French capital to start their careers.Awards Gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1888.Third medal in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts of 1895.
