Description

A Chinese bronze archaic covered censer. dated from Han Dynasty, Bowl shaped body with three curved legs, a raised band below the rim. Side of body raised bovine head with large ears and open mouth for spout. Swirling mountain shaped cover with curved slits for smoke, featuring a lion chasing deers and galloping deer along the layered swirls.
D. 9 1/2" (24.1 cm), H. 11" (27.9 cm)
