This authentic Art Nouveau pottery vase was produced by the Riessner, Stellmacher and Kessel factory in Turn-Teplitz. A signature example of the Gres Bijou series, the vessel features a bulbous ovoid form resting upon five sculpted and gilded organic feet. The upper portion is decorated with a raised honeycomb or cell texture, heavily gilded and inset with numerous multi-colored glass cabochons and enamel bosses. The lower section is dominated by large, high-relief molded leaves finished in matte green and blue glazes with iridescent overtones. The underside features the impressed oval Amphora mark and is stamped Amphora Austria along with impressed model numerals.
