Lladro Porcelain Sculpture Paella Valenciano 1001762

Description

A monumental Lladro fine glazed porcelain sculpture titled Paella Valenciano (Alegoría a la Paella), model number 01001762. This complex multi-figure tableau depicts a traditional Spanish rural celebration centered on a group of six figures in folk attire gathered around a large pan of paella cooking over an open fire. The highly detailed composition includes a standing horse draped with a patterned blanket, a small dog, and a two-wheeled wooden-style cart laden with supplies, baskets of produce, and a saddle. Sculpted by Juan Huerta and decorated by Julio Ruiz, the piece is finished in the signature Lladro pastel palette. The sculpture is mounted on its original custom-contoured dark wood presentation base featuring a gold-toned rectangular Lladro plaque. This item is accompanied by its original framed Certificate of Authenticity, identifying it as piece number 65 of a Limited Edition of 500, dated October 25, 1994. Height: 16.5 inches.
