Lalique, a Swallow Vase featuring a continuous band of flying birds in relief glass encircling the body, rendered with subtle surface texture and softly tinted detail that enhances the sense of movement and depth. The frosted and clear glass interplay highlights the rhythm of the swallows in flight, exemplifying the mastery of sculptural form and naturalistic Art Deco design. The vase is finished with a silver band mounted along the bottom, providing a refined contrast to the textured glass surface. The underside bears a molded Lalique mark to the base. XRF analysis indicates the silver content of the mounted band as approximately 800 standard. Provenance South American collection.
