Very rare early 1900s pre-prohibition Broadway Brewery, San Francisco, California, lithograph metal advertising tray. Jacob Adams, proprietor. Manufactured by the H.D. Beach Sign Company, Coshocton, Ohio. The Broadway Brewery in San Francisco was in business from 1862 to 1917. Originally established as the San Francisco Brewery in 1853, it was re-branded as Broadway Brewery in 1862 and operated on Broadway Street until moving to 19th Street in 1893. It joined the California Brewing Association in 1917 and closed that same year. Oval tray measures 16.5" by 13.5" and depicts an elegant Art Nouveau style border with a large female portrait. Good overall condition for age with wear consistent with age. Rare piece of old Breweriana. Please see detailed photos.
