IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be advised that we offer reasonably priced in-house shipping, but you must select Arrange My Own Shipping as part of your post-auction invoice options. Rare early 1900s pre-prohibition Green River Kentucky Whiskey lithograph metal advertising tray. Great graphics include Americana farmer and horse with a jug of whiskey that bears the company slogan "The Whiskey Without a Headache". Green River Whiskey was originally founded in 1885 in Owensboro, Kentucky, by J.W. McCulloch, quickly becoming a highly popular and widely advertised brand. After a fire in 1918 and a subsequent decline, the distillery was revitalized and, following significant reconstruction, re-released its flagship bourbon in 2022, marking its return after over a century. Made by the Charles W. Shonk Litho Company, Chicago, Illinois the tray measures 12" diameter, 1.25" deep. We consider this to be an excellent condition example of this tray with minimal wear and no significant dents or creases. Small crease that is hard to even see on the front of the tray. Please see detailed photos.
