Uncle Tom's Cabin, first published in 1852, is one of the most influential novels in American history. Written by Harriet Beecher Stowe, the book played a significant role in shaping public opinion about slavery in the United States prior to the Civil War. Mark Twain, born Samuel L. Clemens, became one of the most celebrated American authors of the late nineteenth century, known for works such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Signed books bearing Twain's autograph-even when not written by him-are highly collectible due to his enduring significance in American literature.Valuation:
Autographs of Mark Twain are widely collected, and association signatures-books signed by Twain but written by other authors-remain desirable within the autograph and literary memorabilia market. Value depends on signature clarity, placement, condition, and edition.Condition
