Description
This fine Lladro glazed porcelain figural group, titled "Easter Fantasy" (model 1001810), was released in 1995 as a limited edition. The piece features a whimsical scene of a young figure in a lilac and salmon-colored jester outfit seated upon an ornate chariot. The chariot is fashioned from a large pastel-toned egg, embellished with a profusion of delicate, hand-applied polychrome flowers and a large purple bow. A large white rabbit in a harness pulls the chariot, connected by fine gold-toned metal chain reins. The underside features the blue Lladro backstamp and is hand-signed by J. Lladro, dated 5-26-95. It also bears the hand-inscribed signatures of sculptor Joan Coderch and decorator P. Perez. This specimen is numbered 76 of a limited edition of 1,000. The figurine is presented on its custom-fitted, oval mahogany-finished wooden base. Height: 11.75 inches.
