The cast bronze construction displays dark patinated surfaces accented with gilt highlights that emphasize the modeling of the figures, drapery, and ornamental details. Suspended from a decorative canopy and chain, the chandelier reflects the romantic and exuberant character of 19th century French figural lighting design. No apparent maker's marks observed.
